FA Poised to give Thumbs Up!

Transfer of membership which enables the club to be affiliated with the league has been the final hurdle in what has been a nail biting administration process for all concerned with both fans and staff with not really knowing if football would ever take place at the Grove again. It is now confirmed that the final process for the transfer is underway and the FA have given permission for the club to fulfill its pre season fixtures of friendlies.

This good news comes in the wake of a number of blows to the Yeltz including the pending suspension of manager Mattie Clark plus the cancellation of two home fixtures. This left the club facing the very real dilema of no manager plus no pre season preparation games for the new season. Graham Ingram who has been working hard to close the deal with the FA commented.

"I've been working round the clock to try to close out this whole administration business. The process has been very frustrating and it was a real body blow when despite my efforts we had to cancel with Bartley Green and Tamworth in order to stay the right side of the law.

Over the past week I have been in constant liason with the FA and after submitting documents late on Friday I managed to break the deadlock and get things moving. There are still some official processes that have to take place but I can confidently say we are in very good shape in terms of the club being ratified by the FA."

Graham Added, "There's a great atmosphere starting to develop with staff members at the Grove. We are hoping to make some major announcements quite shortly in terms of new additions to the management structure moving forward."

Halesowen Town FC would like to officially apologise to both Bartley Green and Tamworth for friendly fixtures we were unable to fulfil and look forward to a continued prosperous working relationship with both clubs.
