“It was an extremely enjoyable day for the youngsters and parents alike and I want to encourage more involvement with youngsters of all ages to come down to the Grove, we would welcome them with open arms”.

“It’s the very least we as a club can do after a fresh start from the turmoil of last year under the former regime” We are working on several community based projects at the moment that will hopefully attract more youngsters, families, and local schools to once again become an integral part of Halesowen Town.

Tom Keenan from the Colts, who along with Matty Clarke helped to arrange the day for the youngsters was also full of praise and said “The lads had a smashing day and they all really enjoyed going into the dressing room and meeting the players before the game”

Tom who does community work with local premiership giants Aston Villa added “We would love to make this a regular event, say once a month where the youngster’s can come down and do training drills, and penalty shoot - out competitions at half time.

This would not only be entertaining for the crowd but would give the lads a real confidence boost to show their skills in front of their home crowd. Godfrey Ingram added "one of the most thrilling and most memorable day's for me as a kid was appearing as a Mascot as an 8 year old at my local club Luton Town. Many of the children that were selected to take part today will remember the thrill of meeting their local heroes for years to come and that is exactly what Halesowen Town Football Club is all about".
