The summer will see the Yeltz start off with an exciting home fixture,
entertaining newly promoted Premier League outfit West Bromwich
Albion. Though this fixture is not likely to be a full first team on
display for the Baggies, they boast a fantastic academy set-up with
many players representing England at age group levels, giving a
fantastic opportunity to see potential stars of the future up close at
the Grove. This match will alo be a family day out with pre match activities

planned to kick off the pre season. 

 

The fixtures then see The Yeltz go ‘on the road’ for five
games testing themselves against local opposition as the squad build
up their fitness and team work. The other reason behind such a gap
before the next home fixture is to give the pitch at The Grove as long
as possible to develop it’s new surface so it is at it’s absolute best
come the start of the league season.

 

The lads will finish their preparations with a home fixture against
Blue Square North outfit Redditch United. The Red’s have a new
management team of ex-Halesowen players Matt Gardiner and John
‘Snapper’ Snape, adding an extra interest to the game for the longer
serving fans of our club.

 

With a couple of spaces still available in the calendar, Matt Clarke
